we had the privilege to work on this project with @faktabruket (Nordic eye productions) and Save The Children. we directed shot and produced the part of the film shot in Kenya.

In 2018 we learned about Mike Harris and his Kijito Windmill company. He shared his wish to pass on his company and legacy and shared his difficulty to compete with solar panels and the related energy production. He had the dream to find some who would take on the challenge to progress the legacy and develop a micro wind to electricity windmill. Being extremely impressed by Mikes Kijito story and purpose we discussed at bridgingpositions how we could help him realize his ambition. This is how the idea was born to finance a film about Mike Harris and Kijito. Through the film we help to find individuals, investors or corporations' willing to continue developing Kijito. Mike is looking for someone to take on his legacy and develop it sustainably further. This film was realized with our cooperation partners from AYLF Kenya [African Youth Leadership Forum]. On this Global Forgiveness Day, Hidden Scars has brought together an ex-FGM Cutter and a survivor that has been affected by the practice. Meet the mother and daughter-in-law duo who were willing to speak about the effects of FGM on their health and on their relationship. In this video, we explore if forgiveness is possible in situations of abuse. With thanks to Orchid Project and Bain Capital for making this film possible.
